Claire Celsi is a veteran marketing and communications professional with a passion for learning. She’s never been satisfied with just doing what she knows by heart. Her curiosity and desire to learn more keeps Claire and her marketing and public relations practice current and relevant.

Claire looks for opportunities to help companies, entities and individuals build their communications assets and go forward into the world looking and sounding like they know what they’re talking about. She has experience in working with both B-to-B and B-to-C organizations.

Whether it’s launching a new website or blog, being noticed on social media, or training spokespeople to talk to the media – Claire’s job is to make you look good – and tell your story to the world.

Claire Celsi’s biography

claire-celsi-1Claire Celsi is a Des Moines native and Drake University graduate. She’s served on the board of directors of several organizations including the Beacon of Life and Ruth Harbor. She is a founding member and past president of the Social Media Club of Des Moines. She has also served as President of the 21st Century Forum.

Claire was appointed to serve  on the Iowa Great Places Advisory Board in 2004 and served until 2009. She was then appointed to the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Commission in 2010 and finished that term in April, 2015. Claire was the president of the Clegg Park PTO in West Des Moines when her kids attended grade school (Clegg Park merged with Rex Mathes and is now Hillside Elementary), then she served as the St. Ambrose representative on the Dowling Catholic High School Board of Education from 2003-2006.

In 2018, Claire was elected to the Iowa Senate and enjoys serving the people of Iowa in that role.

In 2010 and 2011, Claire had the privilege of teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at Drake and currently serves on the National Journalism and Mass Communications Advisory Board. Trixie 2011

Claire is a member of the 2014-15 West Des Moines Leadership Academy and volunteers with Booster Pak, an organization that helps alleviate childhood hunger. Claire was appointed to the West Des Moines Board of Adjustment on April 1, 2015. She is also proud member of the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce.

Claire and her husband Jim live in West Des Moines and have four grown children – and one darling granddaughter.
